In Italy, end-of-life photovoltaic modules are classified as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and fall under Legislative Decree 49\/2014, which transposes the WEEE Directive. Systems up to 10 kW are managed as \"household\" waste, while those larger than 10 kW are managed as \"professional\" waste.
